The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) supports 5 million orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) to address the HIV-related risks they face throughout their lives. Access to education is critical to achieving an AIDS-free generation. Keeping children living with and affected by HIV in school strengthens their resiliency, provides an entry point for health services, including HIV/AIDS and gives them a sense of normalcy and stability in their lives.
