Partnership to Fight HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean Region

PEPFAR Logo

The U.S. Government (USG) PEPFAR team is in the process of developing a Caribbean Regional Partnership Framework to provide increased USG assistance to Caribbean governments and regional entities as they work to reduce HIV/AIDS incidence and prevalence in the region. The five-year regional strategy will support and strengthen Caribbean regional, national, and local efforts to prevent and control the HIV epidemic and mitigate its consequences under a Partnership Framework which outlines mutual contributions in the area of service delivery, policy reform and financing in the fight against AIDS.

In partnership with these national governments and regional entities under this five-year strategic framework, the USG will enable Caribbean leadership and management of an even more robust response to the epidemic, which will off-set the highly vulnerable Caribbean environment through focused technical assistance, mentoring, and capacity building of persons and health systems across countries, agencies, and partners in the region.
