Annex VI Resource: Population-based Demographic Surveys and Behavioral Indicators

A number of Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) and HIV/AIDS Indicator Surveys (AIS) have been completed in the past 4 years for several PEPFAR countries. The tables below highlight United Nations General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS (UNGASS) and PEPFAR indicators in the following areas: stigma and discrimination, HIV/AIDS knowledge, voluntary counseling and testing, sexual negotiation, sexual behaviors, sexually transmitted infection care and prevention, and HIV prevalence.
