A delegation of representatives from PEPFAR/HRSA, INCI, and in-country US Government team met with the Minister of Higher Education and Minister of Health, as well as nursing education leaders to initiate NEPI in September 2011. A follow-up visit by CapacityPlus in October built the foundation and consensus for a needs assessment, to be completed in the next several months. After this, prioritized interventions at selected schools will be determined.
